You can now relax. You will be met on arrival and taken to your hotel
in the old colonial city of Antigua.
After breakfast we waste no time in familiarizing ourselves with the
Motorcycles Kawasaki KLR 650. We shall take a 2 hour ride to volcano
Pacaya. This is a good introduction to the KLR but also it’s
a great excursion that lets you climb one of the world most active
volcanoes.
Today we are riding to the misty alpine of Coban.
But we are not just taking a direct route’ Oh no why would we
want It simple, we will be riding some of the best roads in Guatemala
also lets not forget the breathtaking scenery.
A relaxed start so to give you time to explore this capital of Alta
Varapaz. We have a two hour ride to the pictureous town of Lanquin.
Soon after arrival we take a short ride to the caves of Lanquin
The accommodation may be a little basic but the views are great.
today is about having some fun, relaxing a little and if its adventure
you want cave diving is an option well worth considering.The pools
of Semuc Champey are also most excellent swimming trunks and
sun cream are a must!
A lot more riding ahead of us that is no smooth paved road. Our off
road trail continues through mountainous valleys with lots more to
see.
OK today we can rest the motorcycles. Today we take the boat up the
Rio Dulce until we arrive at Livingstone. Livingstone a village with
the magic of the Caribbean Garifuna people.
Back on the bikes and we are now heading for the Hondurano border.
On crossing the border we make the short distance to Copan ruins.
Today we visit Copan Ruins. There are also many other activates to
do here and horse riding is one, and the hot pools are another,
Copan is a colonial town that offers a very nice ambience for travellers
We leave Copan heading for the Guatemalan border.After crossing we
ride for several hours too and through Guatemala City until we finish
our tour where we started in Antigua.
This
tour is not a easy ride, You will see a lot of nature, with some very
beautiful sites.
