Children
and infants are not allowed on these tours!
Naturally you are subject to the rules and law of Guatemala, if
you cause distress to others or to a property either ourselves or
the local suppliers can terminate their services on the spot without
refund or compensation. We always try to keep to the itineary this
will only change if our tour leader thinks it's nessesary to ensure
you have a hassel free holiday.
Money and Banks. Visa and
MasterCard are accepted in cash machines throughout Guatemala. You
can always bring traveler cheques (US)
and some US cash is always good to have. Banks
and cash points are always close to hand. Allow $40 a day for lunch,
dinner and drinks.
Space
and Luggage. You will have
a total of 70ltr of storage space. (We carry our luggage
most
of the times) there will be laundry opportunities if needed. Bring
a small daypack for excursions when not riding.
Health
and Safety. If you become
sick and unable to continue with the tour we will ensure that you
receive the best assistance available. It is your responsibility
to ensure that you have sufficient insurance to cover all medical
expenses.
What
if I cancel my tour? We do
have booking conditions. Your deposit secures you a place on the
tour and is non-refundable. The closer to your departure date you
cancel the more of your payment you stand to lose.
What
if CATours cancels the tour?
This is very unlikely, but we do reserve the right to cancel a tour
if a minimum number of persons stipulated cannot be met, or if acts
of god occur. In these cases a full refund will be made.
The
Tour. The pace of the ride
will greatly depend on the terrain and on the road conditions this
may be affected by the weather and environment. Safety and rider
security are our foremost concerns
this will
not be compromised. What is always important is that we ride within
our abilities. In this tour we ride within in a group as a team.
Group participation will help all riders’ needs. It is your
responsibility to ride safely always follow instructions from your
tour leader, and no matter how experienced you may be take any advice
given. Drink driving will not be tolerated. There will be a time
and a place for having a beer, not before or during the ride. Lecture
over but we dont want to spoil or endanger anybody else`s holiday.
You will be collected from the airport and taken to your hotel for
the first night, then the next day taken to your motorbike for familiarisation,
then a talk over a cool drink on the tour ahead. You will ride in
convoy with an experienced tour leader at the front, so you can
relax and enjoy the view and let us worry about when to fuel up
and which road to take. CATOURS a motorcycle adventure that anyone

The
roads most of which are tarmac offer good riding conditions. At
times we shall encounter some demanding roads. The diversity of
our tours are made so that you won’t miss out on anything.
Our tours will give you lots of miles of diverse riding with some
spectacular sights.
Do
I need experience? Previous
riding experience abroad is not essential. Your tour guide will
ensure that you receive good and correct advice on local conditions
and potential dangers. It is essential that you are comfortable
on your bike. All trips have a preparation day to familiarize you
with the bikes (Kawasaki KLR650) and the road conditions. This will
also include a talk about your tour and what to expect in the weeks
ahead.
The
distances
will vary from day to day and so will the
terrain (see tour details). Some days will be long. These tours
are primarily designed for riding. Each tour
has been carefully routed to balance time and distance with good
rest time to relax and enjoy the local sights.
Payment Protection.
All eligible payments are held In trust in accordance with EU package
holiday directive.
Bike
Insurance. All accidental
damage or indirectly caused will be the responsibility of the rider.
This will be held on credit card prior to the start of the tour.
This holding deposit is 100% refundable at the completion of the
tour. Any motorcycle
damage
will be deducted from the deposit.
The
bikes. Kawasaki KLR650 2002
and 2006 models. This is an excellent well-proven
motorcycle
which combines superb performance and reliability that is so much
needed for Guatemala. All Bikes are maintained without compromise.
